1. What are Ziddi Artist Grants?
Ziddi Artist Grants is an initiative that provides selected independent artists with non-repayable grants ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹25,000. The program is designed to help artists cover the costs of creating and releasing music.
2. Who can apply?
Any artist with at least one active release distributed through Ziddi can apply for an Artist Grant.
3. How much funding can I receive?
Selected artists may receive grants ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹25,000. The grant amount depends on the application, project requirements, and available funding.
4. Do I need to repay the grant?
No. Ziddi Artist Grants are non-repayable and are not considered loans or royalty advances.
5. How are artists selected?
Applications are reviewed individually based on factors such as the proposed project, artistic potential, eligibility, and available funding. Meeting the eligibility requirements does not guarantee funding.
6. What can I use the grant for?
Grants may be used for release-related expenses, including recording, production, mixing, mastering, artwork, music videos, marketing, distribution, and similar creative costs.
7. Can I use the grant for personal expenses?
No. Artist Grants are intended to help fund music-related projects and should be used for legitimate release and career development expenses.
8. Do I keep ownership of my music?
Yes. You retain 100% ownership of your music and intellectual property. Receiving a grant does not transfer ownership or copyright to Ziddi.
9. Is there an application fee?
No. Applying for Ziddi Artist Grants is completely free.
10. Does receiving a grant guarantee future funding?
No. Each application is reviewed independently, and previous recipients are not guaranteed future grants.
11. Can I apply more than once?
Yes. Artists may submit future applications, although receiving funding previously does not guarantee approval for subsequent applications.
12. How long does the review process take?
We aim to review all applications within 14 business days, although review times may vary depending on application volume.
13. Will every eligible artist receive a grant?
No. Artist Grants are awarded on a selective basis and are subject to available funding.
14. Does my music have to be distributed through Ziddi?
Yes. To be eligible, you must have at least one active release distributed through Ziddi.
15. What happens after I’m selected?
If your application is approved, we’ll contact you with the next steps, including any required documentation and the grant agreement before funds are released.
16. Are Ziddi Artist Grants a loan or investment?
No. Ziddi Artist Grants are non-repayable grants awarded at Ziddi’s discretion. They are not loans, royalty advances, or investments in your music.
